With over twenty years of swimming experience Lynn and Glyn developed the largest independent
swimming programme in Derbyshire. They were industrially recognised by the STA as the first
independent swimming school to achieve stamark accreditation. This award independently verified by
the institute of leisure management recognises high standards within the industry and is a form of self
regulation. They attained investment in people status in 2003 and were short listed for the business of
the year awards for two years running. Through the friends of the swim school they worked tirelessly
to promote disable and special need swimming helping numerous individuals and groups access
swimming, including Ashgate Croft School prior to the completion of their own pool. In April 2007 they
sold The Swim School to concentrate solely on Swim 121.

Swim 121 The pool was purpose built in 2004 to provide private lessons. In an intimate semi rural
setting it provides the ideal relaxing environment for swimming tuition. The Swimming instructors are all
police checked, fully qualified teachers undergoing regular training and updates to provide instruction
tailor made to meet client individual needs.

1-2-1 Tuition.

We teach all ages from pre-school children to the elderly using, correct multi stroke techniques providing children and adults with the confidence they need to overcome their fears.

The pool is maintained at a comfortable 32 degrees.
